Side-Power SE60/185S-24IP DC Thruster - 24v, Single Prop 132 lbs of Thrust, Ignition Protected

The Side-Power SE60/185S-24IP DC Thruster is certified to ISO 8846 Ignition Protected standards, ensuring safety. Its waterproof design features stainless cable seals and a rugged plastic housing. With thrust ratings of 132 lbs (60 kg) at 10.5VDC and 161 lbs (73 kg) at 24VDC, it's suitable for boats sized 29-38' (9-12 m).

The thruster has a single propulsion system and requires a minimum battery capacity of 665 CCA SAE, protected by a recommended 250 Amp fuse. It comes with 3.28' (1m) main power cables and 32.8' (10m) control cable for easy installation. Minimum depth to the top of the tunnel is 3.66" (93mm), and to the center is 7.28" (185mm).

Ignition Protection

Side-Power offers modified versions of their DC electric thrusters in watertight housings for use in stern and other locations that may get wet or be exposed to petrol fumes

These thrusters are fully ignition protected (ISO 8846) for use in boats with petrol engines

They have a hermetically sealed composite housing around all electric parts

This provides the ignition protection as no petrol fumes can enter and be ignited by sparks

The other advantage is that the electric parts that could be damaged by water are also covered and protected, making these thrusters the ideal choice for other stern thruster installations where it is difficult to ensure that the thruster will always remain dry
